Blue Ribbon Review: Prof. Dr. Steinkraus Triple Peel

3x exfoliation for actual marble-smooth skin. (And yet, it’s not really peel-like, which is a good thing.)

I’m a longtime fan and original flag-waver of this German dermatological skincare line. No secrets there. And there are about 6 or 7 products from the label that I believe outperform the vast majority of their peers, and which can easily justify their medium-high price points. Especially the Vitamin C serum, and this product right here… the Prof. Dr. Steinkraus Triple Peel.

Its name is daunting, because it’s not an aggressive peel. It’s more of an aggressive exfoliation, low-end peel, I suppose. In that way, the name can be a little misleading. However, as its name also suggests, Triple Peel uses three modes of exfoliation: enzymatic, chemical, and physical. You apply it for 1-5 minutes (go for 5 if you can), then rinse it away like a buffing face wash. Voila: This is the most marble-smooth your skin has ever felt.

You get instant gratification after one use, but with consistent application, tone and texture even out in ways most scrubs and masks only promise. I use it once weekly, but the brand says twice weekly is OK for tolerant skin types, too.

Why It Stands Out

  • Triple-Threat Formula: Fruit acids (AHAs) lift surface debris alongside pumpkin enzymes to dissolve stubborn buildup. Then, superfine bamboo powders buff away what’s left.
  • Ultra-Gentle Delivery: Despite the daunting name, the texture feels like a soft cream rather than a gritty scrub, so there’s no micro-tearing. And you can leave it on for less time or in targeted areas if your skin is too sensitive. Always do a spot test first before applying en masse to your mug.
  • Professional-Grade Results at Home: Spa-level smoothness without downtime, redness, or peeling. Again, it’s not so much an actual peel as it is a really fantastic A+ skin smoother.
