Blue Ribbon Review: Doctor Rogers Day Preventive Treatment and Night Repair Treatment

Smartly streamlined serums with magnified impact.

There was never a doubt that this duo would be the first serums to win Blue Ribbon awards. The entire lineup of products from Doctor Rogers is a masterclass in building a minimum regimen with maximum impact, and these two serums are proof of that.

With the daytime serum, you get everything you need in a morning treatment—that step between cleansing and moisturizing: Antioxidants galore (in triplicate, even) to prevent and reduce free radical damage from the sun or from urban pollution. This proactively promotes collagen longevity, while hyaluronic acid keeps skin hydrated and plump.

With the nighttime serum, you have sensitive-friendly key ingredients that work to promote cellular turnover: most notable is bakuchiol (chosen as an alternative to retinol) as well as gentle exfoliators to keep skin smooth and maximize ingredient absorption from that daytime treatment (it harnesses both alpha hydroxy acid and polyhydroxy acid for this effort).

These aren’t bargain-barrel serums, either: They are an investment in your regimen, but one designed to cut out any need for peripheral treatments as part of a standard routine. • Sodium Hyaluronate: a low-molecular form of hyaluronic acid that allows the hydrating ingredient to penetrate deeper into the skin
• Acetyl Zingerone 1%: ginger-derived antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that can reduce damage from free radicals.
• Vitamin C (as Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate 10%): A supercharged antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals upon exposure to prevent collagen degradation. Also improves skin tone.
