For more than a decade, we’ve tested just about every hair styler on the market. And to make it easy for you, we split our “best hair stylers for men” lists into four sections: low hold, medium hold, high hold, fine hair, and curls. Fine haired and curly guys, you can find good stuff throughout all four, but I thought your extra definition deserved its own section, too.

And within each, we’ve individual recommendations based on the level of shine you want. (You’ll want to assess the texture and volume for each, as needed.) I’ll list my favorite product in each category. I love this part—there are so many great men’s hair brands out there, and I encourage you to switch up your hairstyle or length to try a bunch of them over time.
