This trio of launches suits colder temps… and makes for cozier, warmer nights.

The best colognes of the year also happen to be the best fall fragrances of late, since all three are recent launches. And there’s another connection among the trio: Each one is cozier than the last, with notes like leather, labdanum, latex, amber, and musk permeating this list.
Check out my picks in the clip below.
Horace Vintage Vanilla
Key notes: nutmeg, cumin, pink pepper, saffron, violet, vanilla, leather, labdanum
A leathery vanilla for the guy who doesn’t typically like vanilla. And in wearing it, you’ll be far from vanilla too, if you catch our drift.
Heretic Parfum Häxan
Key notes: osmanthus, rose, oakmoss, amber, musk
“Conjured from roots, resins, and relics”, Heretic says of its latest potion. It’s damp, almost smoky and broody, a real masterpiece somehow, as if by magic, also feels suited for year-round wear (by the correct person, s/he of a certain mischievous sophistication).
Arquiste Nocturnality
Key notes: latex, neoprene, papyrus, black pepper, shoe shine, leather, hydrocarbonresin, patchouli, cedarwood, civet accord, styrax essence, castoreum accord
Just look at that lineup of notes—latex, leather, shoe shine, civet and castoreum… you know what you’re in for with Nocturnality, and it delivers on that leather-bar, almost S&M-caliber projection. A terrific spark for date night.
