The best colognes of the year also happen to be the best fall fragrances of late, since all three are recent launches. And there’s another connection among the trio: Each one is cozier than the last, with notes like leather, labdanum, latex, amber, and musk permeating this list.

“Conjured from roots, resins, and relics”, Heretic says of its latest potion. It’s damp, almost smoky and broody, a real masterpiece somehow, as if by magic, also feels suited for year-round wear (by the correct person, s/he of a certain mischievous sophistication).
