Anforh has officially stepped into the fragrance world, with a trio of scents built around atmosphere rather than convention. This launch feels lived-in, personal, and somewhat reminiscent of founder Robin James’ own Scotland.

James has already built a name for himself through his channel Man for Himself, and has also developed a volumizing, texturizing hair care range (he just launched two more products in that lineup, too).

The scents are Aire, Kist, and Sorn—three fragrances shaped by emotional cues and environmental storytelling. Instead of leaning on the usual “fresh,” “woody,” or “smoky” labels, Robin approaches each scent as an experience. Aire captures clarity and space; Kist leans into warmth and tactility; Sorn explores depth and resonance. Together, they form a tight, thoughtful lineup that introduces a distinct point of view within the niche-fragrance landscape.

In the video below, Robin breaks down the development process behind all three scents, explains the materials and ideas that shaped them, and shares how he envisions people wearing them day to day.

Fresh, mineral, citrus-bright. Aire opens with green mandarin rind and Calabrian bergamot, moves through an ozonic and herbal heart, and settles into dry Haitian vetiver and cashmeran. Inspired by the Scots word “aire,” referring to a coastal gravel shoreline where land meets sea.

Soft woods, warm resins, intimate comfort. Kist blends sandalwood, pressed-linen polish, aged benzoin, cedarwood, and a “vintage paperback” accord. Named after the Scots word “kist,” meaning a chest or box. This one symbolizes warmth, tactility, and closeness.

Smoky, boozy, resinous depth. Sorn opens with pimento berry, clove, and bergamot; moves into leathered fleur de cuir and jasmine grandiflorum; and dries down into oakwood CO₂, labdanum, patchouli heart, vetiver, birch tar, and more. Named for the Scots “sorn,” meaning to linger by charm or persuasion.

Three 2 ml vials (featuring, of course, Aire, Kist, and Sorn) designed to help you experience the full Anforh fragrance universe before committing to a full bottle.
